Recently, Japanese TV has featured the Showa era—especially the 1980s—almost every day. Girls' entertainment from the 1990s and 2000s is also being brought back for adults. Many women my age are excited about it. Many companies keep selling the past instead of looking toward the future. I don't really like this trend. I'm already sick of seeing headlines like, "City pop is very popular not only among Japanese youth but also overseas!" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
